    Hi,

after fitting the kit the TV starts much quicker from cold, and it has cured an annoying hum on the sound but the TV still drops into standby after about an hour sometimes less. I thought this was only one problem with the slow startup but still does it after fitting the repair kit, any help or suggestions would be appreciated

    thanks

    Rob

    Hi Rob,

De solder and then re solder all the devices fixed to the 6 aluminium heat sinks (16 or so from memory), and then do the same for the 6 transformers (wound components) three yellow, two torroidal coils and one inside the Black Plastic cover on the corner of the Board, and just have a quick check on the solder connections on the Capacitors you recently replaced, get back to me if this does not resolve the problem,

    regards,

    George

    Hi Rob,

also check and clean all the ventilation slots on the cabinet and ensure that the TV can dissipate its heat well enough,

    regards,

    George
